Using account credit and wallet balance
Wallet credit is a balance stored in your Eflexsim account that you can apply against future purchases. Credit can come from referrals, refunds-as-credit (instant alternative to bank refunds), promotional bonuses, or admin-issued adjustments. To use it, sign in to your account, go to checkout, and the wallet balance shows up as an option in the order summary. Toggle "Apply wallet credit" and the available balance offsets your order total. Any remaining amount is charged to your card.
Below: how credit enters your account, how to use it at checkout, the rules around expiry, and how it interacts with promo codes.
What goes into your wallet balance
Several sources can add credit to your Eflexsim account balance:
Referral rewards. When someone uses your referral code (or you use one), a credit appears in your wallet after their first purchase completes. Amount depends on the referral program at the time.
Refunds taken as credit. When requesting a refund, you can opt to receive it as wallet credit instead of a bank refund. The credit is instant (vs 5-10 business days for bank refunds) and usually slightly more flexible.
Promotional bonuses. Occasionally we run campaigns that credit specific account types (returning customers, anniversary bonuses, etc.). These show up automatically.
Admin-issued credit. If support resolves an issue by issuing credit (technical failure goodwill, partial refund expressed as credit), the amount appears in your wallet.
Top-up of credit. Not currently available, but might be in future. Wallet balance can't be purchased directly at this time.
To see your current balance, sign in to eflexsim.com and check the Account page. Balance is also visible at checkout.
How to apply wallet credit at checkout
The flow:
- Select your plan and proceed to checkout.
- In the order summary section, look for Wallet credit with your available balance shown.
- Toggle the option ON to apply.
- The order total updates to subtract the wallet credit (up to your balance or the order total, whichever is smaller).
- Pay any remaining amount with a card or wallet payment.
If your wallet balance is larger than the order total, the order uses only enough credit to cover the purchase and leaves the rest in your wallet for future use.
If your wallet balance is smaller than the order total, the credit applies and the remainder gets charged to your card normally.
When wallet credit can't be used
A few cases where wallet credit doesn't apply:
Guest checkout. Wallet credit is tied to your account, so you need to be signed in to see it. Guest purchases don't have access to wallet balance even if you used the same email on a previous order.
Expired credit. Some credit types have expiration dates (typically 12-24 months from issue). Expired credit shows as $0 in your usable balance even though it might still appear in your account history.
Currency mismatch (post-launch). Once we add multi-currency support, credit issued in one currency may not directly apply to orders in another. Eflexsim is USD-only at launch so this isn't yet relevant.
Top-up restrictions. Some plans or top-ups are flagged as "credit not eligible." Rare, but possible for specific promotional plans.
Wallet credit and refunds
The relationship between credit and refunds:
Refunds AS credit (faster). You can opt to receive a refund as wallet credit. It's instant; no bank-side processing time.
Refunds OF an order paid with credit. If you used wallet credit on an order and later refund, the credit portion returns to your wallet. The card-paid portion (if any) returns to your card. Net: you're back where you started before the order.
Refunding partial-credit orders. Same logic applies pro-rata. Half-refunded? Half the credit returns; half the card amount returns.
For full refund mechanics see refund policy and how long does a refund take.
Wallet credit and promo codes
Most promo codes can be combined with wallet credit. The order of operations is usually:
- Plan price.
- Apply promo code discount.
- Apply wallet credit to the discounted total.
- Charge remaining amount to card.
This means promo code percentage discounts apply to the original price, not the wallet-adjusted price. You get the benefit of both.
Some codes specifically disallow stacking with credit; the checkout tells you if that's the case.
For promo codes see how to use a promo code at checkout.
Expiration and how long credit lasts
By default, wallet credit is valid for 24 months from the date it was issued. Some types of credit have shorter expiration:
- Promotional bonuses: 6-12 months typically.
- Referral rewards: 12 months.
- Refunds taken as credit: 24 months.
- Admin-issued credit: date varies, listed in the issuing email.
When credit has multiple sources with different expiry dates, the system uses the soonest-expiring credit first on a purchase. You don't have to choose which credit to spend; it's handled automatically.
Credit can't be transferred to another account or cashed out. It's specific to your Eflexsim account and only usable for Eflexsim purchases.
Tracking your wallet history
Sign in to eflexsim.com โ Account โ Wallet (or look in your account settings for "Credit history"). You'll see:
- Current balance.
- All credit additions (date, amount, source).
- All credit uses (date, amount, order it was applied to).
- Upcoming expiry dates if any.
This is useful if you're trying to figure out where a specific balance came from.
When wallet credit isn't visible
If you expect to have credit but don't see any:
1. Make sure you're signed in to the right account. Multiple email addresses are common; the credit is tied to one specific account.
2. Check if any credit recently expired. Expired balances disappear from the active amount.
3. Confirm the referral or refund was processed. Sometimes credit shows up a few hours after a referred friend's first order completes, not instantly.
4. Email support@eflexsim.com if you think credit should exist but doesn't. We can trace it.
Frequently asked questions
QCan I buy wallet credit directly?
Not at this time. Credit only comes from referrals, refunds-as-credit, or promotional bonuses.
QCan I transfer my credit to a friend?
No. Credit is tied to your specific account email and can't be moved.
QWhat happens to my credit if I delete my account?
It's forfeited. Use any remaining credit before requesting deletion. See how to delete your Eflexsim account.
QDoes credit work on top-ups?
Usually yes. Top-ups are normal purchases and credit applies at checkout the same way it does on new plans.
QCan I see how much credit I'll get from a referral before the friend buys?
Yes. The referral program page in your account shows the per-referral reward amount and the program rules. Credit appears after the friend's first purchase completes.
QDoes credit affect my tax handling?
Credit isn't taxable to you (it's a discount or refund, not income). The order total after credit is what determines any applicable tax. For tax details, see are taxes and VAT included.
For refunds, see refund policy. For promo codes, see how to use a promo code at checkout. For payment methods, see what payment methods does Eflexsim accept.
