How to use a promo code at checkout

To use a promo code on Eflexsim, select your plan, click Add promo code on the checkout page, type or paste the code, and click Apply. The discount appears before you confirm payment. Codes are usually case-sensitive and have an expiration date. If a code doesn't work, the most common reasons are: the code expired, you've already used it on a previous order, the code is for a specific country/region you're not buying for, or you typed it with an extra space.

Where to enter a promo code

On the checkout page, after you've selected a plan:

  1. Look for "Have a promo code?" or "Add promo code" above the order summary.
  2. Click it to expand a text field.
  3. Type or paste your code.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. The discount shows up in the order summary below the plan price.

The total updates to reflect the discount. You then complete payment normally.

If you don't see a promo code field, look for it just above the payment method section. The exact placement varies between desktop and mobile checkout.

What promo codes typically discount

Promo codes on Eflexsim usually fall into one of these types:

Percentage discount. "20% off your first order" or similar. The code multiplies your order price by 0.8 to get the discounted total.

Fixed amount discount. "$5 off your order over $15" or similar. The code subtracts a flat amount from your subtotal.

First-order discount. Only valid on your first purchase. Once used on any order, the code can't be reused even if you create a new account.

Country or region specific. "BACKTOJAPAN" might only work for Japan plans. Applies the discount only when buying for the specific destination.

Referral codes. When a friend refers you, both you and the friend get a discount or credit when you make a purchase. See using account credit and wallet balance for how referral credit appears in your account.

Time-limited campaigns. Codes tied to a specific promotion (holiday sale, regional launch, etc.) usually have a short expiration window.

Every code's exact terms are spelled out wherever the code was distributed (the email, social post, partner site, etc.). If you don't have the terms handy, the rejection message at checkout usually explains why a code isn't applying.

Why a code might not work

The most common reasons a promo code is rejected:

1. Typo. Codes are usually case-sensitive. Watch for similar-looking characters (0 vs O, 1 vs l, capital I vs lowercase l).

2. Extra space. Pasting from email sometimes adds a trailing space. Re-type the code by hand to be sure.

3. Expired. Most codes have an expiration date. Check the email or campaign page for the deadline.

4. Already used. First-order codes only work once per customer. Codes tied to your account work only on the orders they were issued for.

5. Wrong order type. A code for Japan plans won't apply to a Thailand purchase. The error usually says "this code isn't valid for this plan."

6. Minimum order not met. Some codes require an order of $15+ or similar. Smaller orders are rejected.

7. Account-tied code used by a different account. Some referral or recovery codes are tied to a specific account email. If you sign in with a different email, the code won't apply.

The rejection message at checkout will usually say which of these is the problem. Read it carefully before assuming the code is broken.

When to apply the code vs payment timing

Apply the code BEFORE entering payment. Once you complete payment, the promo code can't be retroactively added. If you forgot to apply it:

  • Within seconds of payment: Email support@eflexsim.com immediately with the order number and code. We can occasionally apply codes after the fact if the order just completed.
  • After more than a few minutes: Generally not possible to retroactively apply. You can use the code on a future order if it allows multiple uses.

The lesson: always check the order summary before clicking Pay. The total should reflect any discount.

Stacking promo codes

Most codes don't stack. You can usually apply one code per order. If you have two codes, the system uses the first one you apply and rejects the second.

There are exceptions: some account credits (wallet balance, referral credit) can be combined with a promo code. The order summary makes it clear what's being applied.

Codes and refunds

If you got a refund on an order that used a promo code, the refund handles the code value based on which type:

  • Percentage discount: Refund matches what you actually paid (not the pre-discount price).
  • Fixed amount discount: Refund matches what you paid; the discount value isn't separately refunded.
  • First-use codes: The code is typically still marked as "used" after refund, so you can't reuse it on a new order. Email support if this seems wrong for your case.

Sometimes. Codes are typically valid on new eSIM purchases. Top-ups are often excluded but vary by code. The checkout will tell you if it's not eligible.

QMy code worked but the discount looks smaller than I expected.

Some codes have a maximum discount cap (e.g., "20% off, up to $5 max"). The code applies but the discount is limited. The order summary shows the actual amount.

QCan I share my referral code with my whole family?

Most referral codes can be used by multiple new customers. Each new customer's first order triggers a credit to your account up to a per-program limit. Check the specific referral terms.

QWhy didn't I get a code on my first order?

We don't always have an active first-order code running. Newsletter subscribers occasionally get exclusive codes; sometimes there's a code running on the homepage. There's no universal "use SAVE10 at checkout" code we can promise.
