What payment methods does Eflexsim accept?
Eflexsim accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, UnionPay), plus Apple Pay and Google Pay for one-tap checkout on supported devices. Payments are processed by Stripe, so the cards and wallets supported are the same set Stripe handles globally. If your card is rejected, the most common causes are an incorrect billing address, an international transaction block from your bank, or insufficient funds.
Below: the full list of accepted methods, what shows up at checkout, regional differences, and what to try if a payment fails.
Cards we accept
The card types accepted on every Eflexsim checkout:
- Visa (credit and debit, including Visa Electron)
- Mastercard (credit and debit, including Maestro)
- American Express
- Discover
- JCB (Japan and East Asia issuers)
- Diners Club International
- UnionPay (China and partner regions)
Both personal and corporate cards work. Prepaid cards work as long as they support online international transactions (some travel debit cards have this disabled by default and need to be enabled in your card app).
Digital wallets
Wallet payment is supported through Stripe and shows up automatically at checkout when your device supports it.
- Apple Pay on iPhone, iPad, and Mac (Safari).
- Google Pay on Android phones and Chrome desktop.
- Link by Stripe for one-click checkout if you've saved your card with Stripe on another site.
Wallet payments are faster (no need to type card details), more secure (your real card number is never sent to us), and supported by every issuer that's already in your wallet. For most travelers, Apple Pay or Google Pay is the smoothest checkout path.
What you don't see at Eflexsim checkout (yet)
A few payment methods that work elsewhere but aren't on Eflexsim:
- PayPal. Not currently accepted. Use a card or wallet payment instead.
- Crypto. No crypto payments at this time.
- Bank transfers. Not for individual eSIM purchases. Email support@eflexsim.com if you have a business need for invoiced bank-transfer payments.
- Klarna / Affirm / Buy-now-pay-later. Not offered. eSIM purchases are typically too small for BNPL math to work anyway.
We may add some of these post-launch based on customer demand. Subscribe to the newsletter for updates.
Regional notes
A few region-specific things worth knowing.
US-issued cards: all major networks work. Apple Pay and Google Pay both supported.
EU-issued cards: Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) may trigger a one-time 3-D Secure prompt from your bank (a quick app notification or SMS code). This is normal for any online payment over a small EU threshold.
UK-issued cards: same SCA behavior as EU cards post-Brexit.
Cards issued in India, Brazil, or other countries with strict outbound payment rules: sometimes need to be enabled for "international online transactions" in your bank app before a Eflexsim purchase will succeed. The decline message from your bank will usually say so.
UnionPay cards: work for most card types but some older UnionPay debit cards don't support online international payments. JCB and Visa/Mastercard issued by Chinese banks work normally.
What to do if your card is declined
A decline at Eflexsim checkout is almost always from your bank, not from us. The most common causes:
1. Wrong billing address. The address on the checkout form must match what your bank has on file. Even a typo in the postal code can trigger a decline.
2. International transaction block. Many banks default to blocking international online transactions. Call your bank or use the bank's app to enable international purchases.
3. Insufficient funds or hit your daily limit. Particularly common on prepaid travel cards. Check the card's available balance.
4. Fraud-protection block. If you're checking out from a country your bank doesn't expect you to be in, the bank may auto-decline. Approve the transaction in your bank app or call the bank to clear the block.
5. Card expired or about to expire. Verify the expiration date you entered matches the card.
6. Wrong CVV. Re-enter the 3-digit code on the back (4-digit on the front for Amex).
If everything looks right and the decline persists, try Apple Pay or Google Pay if your phone supports them. Wallet payments authenticate differently and sometimes succeed when a card-direct payment was blocked.
If none of that works, email support@eflexsim.com with the order details (no card numbers in the email โ just the date, amount, and last 4 digits) and we'll trace it.

How we charge you
You're charged once at checkout for the plan you selected. No subscriptions, no auto-renewals. The charge appears on your statement as "EFLEXSIM" or "EFLEXSIM.COM" depending on your bank.
For invoices and receipts after purchase, see how to download an invoice or receipt.
Is paying on Eflexsim safe?
Yes. Eflexsim uses Stripe to process every payment. Card details never touch our servers. The same security infrastructure handles billions of dollars of transactions for companies you've heard of (Amazon, Lyft, Shopify, etc.).

Frequently asked questions
QCan I pay with PayPal?
Not currently. Use a card or Apple Pay / Google Pay instead. We may add PayPal post-launch.
QWhy did my card get declined when I have plenty of money?
Usually because your bank blocked the international transaction or flagged it as suspicious. Approve the transaction in your bank app and retry, or call your bank to lift the block.
QCan I pay with my company card?
Yes. Corporate Visa, Mastercard, and Amex cards work the same as personal cards. For a proper VAT-compliant invoice for business expense filing, see how to download an invoice or receipt.
QWill my card be saved for future purchases?
Only if you create an account and explicitly opt to save it. Guest checkouts don't save card details.
QCan I pay in my own currency?
Eflexsim is USD-only at launch. Your bank converts to USD using their daily exchange rate plus any FX fee they charge. See what currencies can I pay in for details.
QWhat if my card works elsewhere but fails on Eflexsim?
Try a different browser or device first (rules out a browser-specific issue). Then try Apple Pay or Google Pay. If both fail, email support with order details.
For currency questions, see what currencies can I pay in. For taxes, see are taxes and VAT included. For receipts, see how to download an invoice or receipt.
