Which countries does Eflexsim cover?
Eflexsim covers 200+ countries through our partner network. That includes every popular tourist destination, most business travel hubs, and many less-visited regions. The fastest way to confirm your destination is to use the country search on the shop. Type your country name and the available plans appear.
This article covers how to check coverage, what regional and global plans actually include, and what to do if your destination isn't listed.
Coverage at a glance
Most travelers don't need to think about this. The Eflexsim catalog covers:
- All of Europe (UK, EU, EEA, plus several non-EU countries).
- All of North America, plus Central America and the Caribbean.
- All of South America.
- All of Southeast Asia, plus most of East and South Asia.
- The Middle East and most of North Africa.
- Coverage across Sub-Saharan Africa (lighter than other regions but growing).
- Major parts of Oceania (Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, others).
If your destination is a country you've heard of and it has reasonable cellular infrastructure, we almost certainly cover it.
How to check before you buy
The country search on eflexsim.com is the source of truth. Type your destination, and the available plans appear with prices and validity periods.
A few practical notes:
- Type the country in English (e.g., "Italy" not "Italia"). The shop uses English country names regardless of the language you're shopping from.
- For ambiguous names ("Korea" โ both North and South), the search shows the option list. We only sell plans for countries with reachable partner networks, so North Korea, for example, won't appear.
- If you don't see your country and you're confident it has cellular service, email support@eflexsim.com. We can sometimes flag emerging countries before they appear in the shop search.
Coverage on regional plans
Regional plans cover a fixed group of countries on a single eSIM. The exact list varies by plan, but the typical groupings are:
- Europe (30+ countries): UK, all EU members, plus Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and several Balkan countries. Specifics on the plan page.
- Southeast Asia (~10 countries): Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Brunei, Myanmar (where available).
- Latin America (~20 countries): Mexico through Argentina, plus most Caribbean nations.
- Middle East and North Africa (~12 countries): UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Morocco, and others.
The plan page lists exact countries. If your trip route includes a country that isn't on the regional list, you'll need a separate plan for that leg. See local, regional, or global plans.
Coverage on global plans
Global plans aim for 100+ countries on a single eSIM. The list is broad but not unlimited. A handful of countries are excluded from most global plans, typically because of partner network restrictions or regulatory limits in that country.
Commonly excluded from global plans:
- Some smaller Pacific island nations.
- A few countries in Central Asia.
- Sanctioned countries (Iran, North Korea, Cuba in some cases).
The global plan page lists every country it covers, in alphabetical order. Check before you buy if any of your destinations are off the beaten path.
What if my country isn't listed
A few options.
Option 1: Check our search again with the local name. Sometimes country names differ (Czech Republic vs Czechia, for example). The shop search recognizes both.
Option 2: Buy a regional plan and check the country list inside it. A regional plan covers more countries than the shop search shows on the country page. Some smaller countries are accessible through regional plans even if they don't have a dedicated local plan.
Option 3: Email support. support@eflexsim.com. We can confirm whether a destination is reachable through any plan, even if it doesn't appear in shop search. We respond within 4 hours.
Option 4: Use a physical travel SIM. Some countries genuinely don't have eSIM-compatible partner networks yet (mostly very remote regions). A physical SIM bought locally is the fallback. We don't sell them, but airport kiosks and online sellers do.
Coverage quality varies by country
A country being "covered" means we have an active partner network there. It doesn't always mean 5G everywhere or full national reach. A few realities:
- Urban areas almost always have full coverage through the partner network's main carrier.
- Rural and remote areas may have weaker signal or fall back to slower network generations (3G in some countries).
- High-altitude or border regions can be inconsistent, especially in mountainous areas.
- Specific carriers in the partner network vary by country. The plan page shows which carriers are used in each destination, where known.
If you need a specific level of network performance (e.g., 5G for video calls), check the plan page for the country's network details before buying. For most travelers. Using maps, messaging, browsing. The partner networks are reliable enough.
Frequently asked questions
QHow many countries does Eflexsim cover in total?
200+ across all plans combined. The exact number is on our shop. New countries get added as partner networks come online.
QWhy doesn't my country show up in the search?
Either the country isn't supported (rare), or it's listed under a different name. Try alternative spellings or local names. If nothing matches, email support@eflexsim.com.
QCan I use one eSIM in multiple countries?
Yes, with a regional or global plan. Local plans only work in their named country. See local, regional, or global plans for the picking guide.
QDoes coverage include data and SMS, or just data?
Eflexsim plans are data-only. You don't get a callable phone number with the eSIM. Calls and SMS run through your home line, or through internet apps (WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram) over the eSIM's data.
QIs coverage the same on all plan types in a country?
Mostly yes. The same partner networks serve local, regional, and global plans in any given country. Speed and signal quality should match across plan types. The difference is which countries the plan covers, not how well it works.
For more on plan picking, see local, regional, or global plans. For how the plan timer works once you connect, see how long does my data plan last.
